Position Overview:
The Training Specialist designs, plans, and develops training and development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of various methods, i.e., virtual learning, classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, workshops, meetings, conferences, etc. This position supports continuous education of our clients, to reflect our culture, values, and drive business results in a high growth environment.
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Organize and lead training programs, ensuring proper execution at all levels of the department;
- Develop trainer development programs, i.e., Train the Trainer, and coach Leadership teams involvement in training efforts, providing effective growth and development opportunities to enhance consistency in proper usage of the company tools and resources;
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business to target areas in which training for clients is needed;
- Evaluate learning comprehension of participants and provide constructive feedback;
- Manage milestones, deadlines, and scheduling for multiple simultaneous projects, keeping the team up-to-date with progress and results;
- Create an engaging learning experience;
- Analyze training processes and make recommendations to improve efficiencies and existing learning materials;
- Recommend appropriate learning tools to achieve course objectives based on education research and best practices;
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to maintain a basic knowledge of the workflows and best practices that support the business;
- Maintain a centralized training calendar and library, seeking and developing effective training materials and resources;
- Create a communication plan detailing the professional development opportunities available;
- Ensure all training processes are relevant, documented and maintained, and designed with alignment to best practices;
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Development, Education, Human Resources, or any other related field, or equivalent;
- Minimum of five (5) years (preferred) working experience in a training and development capacity;
- Excellent training and facilitation skills in multiple settings, including one-on-one, group, video, and virtual platforms;
- Ability to use a wide variety of learning/training concepts and principles with knowledge of adult learning;
- Ability to successfully balance and follow up on multiple tasks;
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and relationship building;
- Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills, questioning and feedback skills;
- Ability to research and effectively write training materials, including behavioral and learning objectives;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
